Greg Gillespie is an artist with 25 years experience in the commercial art world. Recently he has began painting again after a 15 year absence. Whilst his past works reflected a more traditional “realism” approach, his new venture has taken him into the wonderful world of “abstract expressionism”.
The first painting offered for sale by auction of this painting “balancing act”, is an attempt to raise awareness of Compassion International, the child sponsorship organisation that helps to alleviate some of the worlds poorest children from a lifetime of poverty. Greg is calling this the Younique Project.
All proceeds from the successful sale of this painting will be given directly to Compassion International, with Greg keeping only $1 for himself. The one dollar is to help people understand just how difficult it is for many of the world’s impoverished to “earn” a single dollar.

Shit! I was in Venice mid-December a few years ago, and it was just lovely. Can’t imagine how ridiculous it would be to visit right now!!
I was in Venice last year May and the square was flooded on all 3 days we were there. Ankle height though, nothing compare to weist height as some of the photo’s The Big Picture show. And we never saw any Red Bull wake boarders tearing up the canals and square which I’m a little pissed about.
